Olivia Newton John marries John Easterling

OLIVIA Newton-John wed new husband John Easterling twice in less than 10 days - the first a secret Incan ceremony on a Peruvian mountaintop.Newton-John, 59, and millionaire Easterling were the only people allowed on the peak for the spiritual ceremony on June 21. The couple then headed back to Florida to make their union legal with a beachfront wedding on June 30. They kept the news quiet until a barbecue at the singer's Malibu home on July 4. The details of the South American ceremony and follow-up US nuptials have been revealed in Britain's Hello! magazine. It appears the pair sold the rights to the big-paying UK magazine, which also snapped up the rights to Greg Norman's recent wedding to US tennis star Chris Evert in The Bahamas. "He's made me the happiest woman in the world," Newton-John told the mag. Newton-John and Easterling, met 15 years ago through mutual friends but only started dating a year ago. Friends say the couple, with a love of the outdoors, meditation and herbal remedies, are a perfect match. The relationship blossomed as Newton-John was overcoming the latest chapter of tragedy in a life that has had extreme highs and heart-breaking and near fatal lows. "Our relationship was born out of our mutual love of healing," Easterling said. "We were simply made for each other." Newton-John is one of the world's most loved entertainers. Fans have been entranced by her music and film career, that includes four Grammy Awards, five No.1 hits in the US and the film musical Grease, which became a classic of the genre. But, with the success, Newton-John has also been dogged by tragedy. In 1992 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, in 1995 she divorced husband Matt Lattanzi and in 2005 her boyfriend Patrick McDermott went missing during a fishing expedition off Los Angeles. He has not been found. Newton-John's 22-year-old daughter Chloe has also had a highly-public battle with anorexia.
