Sassy, a five year old spayed female Domestic Shorthair is a bit attached to her Winnie the Pooh blanket. She loves to be petted—but is sensitive to petting below her shoulder blades. This could be due to previous ailments from when she lived life as a stray. Sassy has been at the shelter since December 2007—and is currently sponsored, so her new best friend can take her home with a bag of toys and treats picked specifically for her Sassy self!
There are about 400 cats being sheltered at the Cleveland APL at this time and about 200 more being fostered or at local Petsmart, Petco and Pet Supermarket.
